  24. There are three types of project dates for each task and milestone: planned dates, late dates, and actual dates.

  26. The planned dates, Earliest Start and Earliest Finish, are the earliest dates on which a task can begin or end given the requirements of the schedule. The late dates, Latest Start and Latest Finish, are the latest dates a task can begin or end without delaying the end of the project.

  32. You usually enter one or more planned or late dates when planning a project- typically a start date for the project             (Earliest Start for the first milestone) or a deadline date for the project (Latest Finish for the last milestone).
